Finn {4 Months}

My SIL just took pictures of Finn, and oh my goodness, look at him!

He is as precious and sweet as he looks. I haven't posted on him since his birth, and these pictures gave me a good excuse to do it. :)

Our sweet sweet boy is an absolute joy. He is as sweet and lovable as they come. He smiles ALL the time. He is content. He is flexible with our schedule. He is a wonderful eater and sleeper.

He is your classic fourth baby. Easy.

Mark and I talk about how he just doesn't fuss unless he's getting sleepy or hungry. And *fuss* is an overstatement. He has had some moments in the car that he was especially unhappy, but that is pretty much nonexistent now.

He loves to make spit bubbles, chew on his delicious hands, and laugh when he's tickled. He adores all his siblings, and they in turn think he is the best thing. I love to hear them talk to him. And I especially love all the little nicknames we have come up with for him… Mr. Finn, Finny Boy, Mr. Boy, Starry Eyes, Mr. Bear… I don't know why we have so many Mr. names, but we do. :)

He is VERY interested in food. I wanted to hold off because it's so easy to just nurse him all the time, but his intense interest has earned him some first bites of a few things. And he is thrilled!

What a pure delight he has been to our family. We love him so much.

Delicious I tell you.

Max turns 3!

Our Max Danger turned three yesterday… it's so cliche but it seems crazy that he's already three yet it also seems much longer than three years.

This kid.

It's always so hard for me to write a post about Max because it's difficult to choose the right words for him. He's really just something else.

He's crazy. So so crazy. The things he does honestly don't phase us anymore. They're extreme and flat out unbelievable at times, and I don't think I even bat an eye. I just hand out his consequence and go clean up what he's done. (Or have him clean it up)

The thing about Max is that he's not mean or malicious. He's not trying to exasperate us. (Okay, well maybe sometimes.) He's just unbelievably curious and very mischievous. He's smart too. He knows consequences come after rules are broken, but his will to do them outweighs what he knows is coming. It's like he literally can't help himself. I know he can, mostly. :)

He's super sweet and a very happy boy. Most of the time he is smiling (although he can give other kids a run for their money in the whining department) or being super silly. If he can get a laugh out of someone (especially his brother Jack or cousins), he will do it. It doesn't matter what it is, Max is ALL IN. He makes me laugh all the time. And cry. And pray. And pray some more.

Max LOVES any animal he can get in his hands. He's obsessed really. Frogs, snakes, lizards, fish, bugs… the list is very long. He loves them so much. Many have met their end in his tight relentless grip. He also loves his pocket knife and is really quite skilled in handling it. Daddy has taught him well.

Fortunately for Max, his Daddy is an expert in all these things he loves so much. And speaking of Daddy, Max is still his daddy's #1 fan. It's so sweet. It's perfect really.

Max is our passionate, busy, loud, sweet, affectionate, fire-ball and adds so much spunk to our family. We love him with all our hearts.

Happy Birthday Max Palmer!!!
