A Tradition Continues

My siblings and I have scarring fond memories of Sunday mornings growing up. First, we would be woken up by my parents singing the most annoying "Good Morning" song EVER. Then as we were dragging ourselves out of our beds, my dad would seriously blare praise music on the surround sound system downstairs. But the upside to this Sunday morning routine were the donuts. Ahhh yes, the donuts. When you finally did get your butt downstairs, there were fresh donuts waiting on the table for breakfast. Every Sunday morning. That was the best.

Part of this tradition continues in the Van Wart house. That part would be the donuts. On Sunday mornings, Mark goes to his favorite donut shop and brings home fresh donuts to eat before church. Our kids love donuts! They probably have the worst nutritional value of any breakfast food, but they sure are good. :-)

Lots of sprinkles

Jack says, "DO-NUUUT!"

  1. My dad used to blare praise music too! It was so annoying! Can you say that about praise music? We didn't have the joys of donuts afterward though!
