As requested by my sister-n-law, here is the chocolate chip cookie recipe that I spoke about here.
Chocolate Chip Cookies- From the kitchen of Debbie McBroom
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
12 oz. package of chocolate chips
-------------------------------------------
Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
Mix butter, shortening, sugars, vanilla, and eggs.
Next, gradually add dry ingredients until well mixed.
Add chocolate chips and drop by teaspoons on cookie sheet.
Bake 10 minutes at 350
Now, you may be thinking these are the basic ingredients for any chocolate chip recipe, but I am telling you, these cookies are so good. I don't know what makes them different, but they have the perfect consistency, rise well, and taste delicious. We like to eat a couple spoonfuls of dough, then bake the first batch and eat those with ice cold milk. THEN, we freeze the rest. Have you ever eaten a frozen cookie? They are sooo good. They start out crunchy as you bite into them, and then turn soft and chewy as they thaw in your mouth. Try it. You won't regret it!
Many thanks. :) Ask and you shall receive... even in the world of blogs.
